Thoughts at the moment-> Okay I have been very slacking her but want to start going again. I found the funniest list of questions about what would happen if Mitt Romney became president. Fellow LDS will like this. I have a couple questions too :-) The red asterisks are way funny to me and I have a couple of questions thrown in.

If Mitt Romney becomes President of the US, his family will be assigned to the Washington DC 3rd Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

So if you are the Bishop for the 3rd Ward, ya gotta be wondering:

1. Will you allow an inaugural ball to be held in the cultural hall? Do you mount security cameras on top of each basketball rim and have a secret service detail stationed on the stage?

*2. Can you call Mitt and Ann as the Nursery leaders… even if you really feel inspired?

3. Who is going to home teach them?

*4. If Harry Reid and Mitt Romney are in the same High Priest group, will they behave responsibly, or do you need to be there to keep order?
*5. Exactly how will tithing settlement work? Will the Secretary of the Treasury come, too? Or would the Fed Chairman be a better choice?
*6. Will you be inviting the new Romney family to speak in Sacrament Meeting… and if they go a little over, at what point do you ask them to sit down?

7. Will the Secret Service do a sweep of the building before each meeting?

*8. Can you call the Secret Service agents to help out in Primary?

9. If you give Mitt a calling and the pair of token Democrats in the ward raise their hand AGAINST sustaining him - then what?!!

10. If you can’t give them a calling, and they don’t attend very often, will that mean they’re ‘inactive?’ If they’re not active, can you give them a Temple Recommend? And if you do, can they go? How will the Secret Service screen the temple?

Carrie Asks Do you get LDS members Secret Service that can go into the temple? or do they just stand outside believing it is the house of the Lord and putting faith in God to keep him safe?

If you’re assigned to be the Romneys’ Home or Visiting Teacher:

1. Can you just drop by when you are in the neighborhood, without an appointment?

2. Can you even call them for an appointment, or do you have to go through the Chief of Staff?

3. Can you bring by Christmas sweets and cookies? Will they be screened by the Secret Service first? If so, is this a missionary opportunity to share the gospel?

4. If you don’t come teach the Romneys regularly, can the IRS do an audit on you?

5. Will they want to do a national security background check?

6. Do you have to have a permanent teaching companion assigned who has been vetted? Can you just grab any teacher or priest to come with you? What if they are Democrats?

*7. Do you have to help him move in and out of the White House?

8. If Ann Romney gets sick, are you allowed to bring in meals or at least tell the Relief Society President about it?

9. What can you share with the Bishop about the Romneys?

10. Do you have to ask them about their year’s supply?

11. If you get a late night call for a blessing, will reporters follow you around wanting to know what was wrong and what you said? And if the reporters offer remuneration in exchange for your time, does it all have to be donated or just the standard 10-percent tithe?

Seen on another hate site: And Mitt Romney -- who many say will be the Republican nominee -- is not only a Mormon, he is a high priest in the Mormon Church.

Carrie Asks WHAT? ummmm I think they are implying that he has "special powers" in the LDS Church leadership. If they only knew how many men have that part of the Melchizedek Priesthood that it would be almost impossible to gather them all up for a major secret plan to do anything!

Well this is our country and I know we are all tired of the total misquotes, misinformation, the way regular information is put out to mean something sinister. I know that I could never have all my personal life picked over by a thousand different reporters, websites, discussions and hold my entire past life under a microscope so I am so excited to see him doing this. You think electing America's first African American is a major deal think of an LDS President and the thought of it boggles me! There are far fewer LDS than African Americans.

(commonly called the "Mormon" Church) list just under 6 million baptized members of the

In fact the full church membership worldwide is only

14,131,467 (2010) and that is less than half of the "pure" black in America!

Thoughts at the moment-> I love the holidays! I love the lights, watching children getting caught up in the fun of it,wrapping packages, making things with all my fun yarn for my loved ones, SNOW,school Christmas program that my daughter & grand-daughter were in, themusic, the feel for the spirit of the holidays being shown by an extra helpinghand to a stranger, a kind word to a friend, loving to find awesome gifts thatare "just right" for someone then watching them open it from my 6month old grand-daughter Evelyn to my 56 year old incredible loving & lovedstepmom.

This year (like mostbut more this time) I have A FANTASTIC FUN TIME has been spending less than$5-$10 per person in our family per gift and their reaction of such happinessbecause they can't imagine how I purchased something with so little cash. I love to bargain hunt online for literally hours and even pulling someall-nighters! I looked for a special kind of yarn to make these frillysoft very pretty scarves in Wisconsin Badger team colors.

*Noteon the Wisconsin Badgers…My second oldest daughter Bethany, her hubby, and theirkids (6 months and 6 years) even living in Indiana they are BIG BADGER fans.Bethany & her hubby and kids go to the games and were at the last one thatput us in the Rosebowl!! ALL the rest ofour Wisconsin family are BIG Badger fans too.

Myhunt for the special yarn……..it's amazing I don't have that kind of yarn (lookslike net). Second I remember selling Flamenco by Premier yarns a fewmonths back in my store but we all cannot have every kind of yarn called for inall patterns (but I try hard to! :). I could find those yarns for over$10 a skein WOW there was NO WAY that was gonna happen because that's crazy andI KNOW how much yarns are manufactured for and what wholesale prices are so Iwent hunting. I dug for over 3 hours on eBay-Google-TheFind-Amazon-Etsy-and many more. I found over 10 brands of this type ofyarn called Can Can or Flamenco yarn. EVEN no name brands were going for$7 a skein. This was still too much. Then I stopped for a while andcouple hours. Went back to it andTADAHHHHH I found 12 skeins for $24.00 and that included shipping…….My familywill love their scarves and my grandbaby will love her matching headband andtutu skirt that will match and we can ALL wear them watching the Rosebowl…GOOOOOO BADGERS!

Ofcourse this means I will have to also be thinking of some fun PACKER coloraccessory to make for all of our Wisconsin family members (Bethany is a Bearsfan). I was the black sheep in thefamily of Chicago Bear Fans since all of them except my Mom, Dad, Sis, and Ilive in northwest Indiana where I was born. I have been a Wisconsin woman since I was 4. The choice to be a GB Packer fan really madefor some wonderful teasing over the years as I was the only one in thefamily. Now my Momtoo (stepmom) is anincredible Packer fan and I was able to take her to her (and mY) first GB game4 years ago on Jan 1^st and it was everything I had made it in mymind to be and more. Wow we were 3 rowsup from Lambeau Leap Central on the end of the field. I can’t wait to go again! (My hubby’s sister and her hubby are seasonticket holders after his Dad died and left them to them.

Well……….. I promise to blog more, this next year, I promise to add patterns andsome cool stuff to buy on my blog, AND most of all I promise to make sure Icopy all my ramblings into my “The Journal 4” multimedia journal. I also promise to start my workshops onjournaling with multimedia and introduce my software for craft journaling. Machine, Neeles, Hooks, Yarns, Looms, etc......

Okay other Yarneez and the ones that love them.... Today I decided I am in MAJOR FREAKKKK OUT MODE! My poor hands fight me with the hooks, needles, looms, and now it is machines! I am franticly looking for my basic book to jog my memory about stupid things I should have remembered as I used only a short time before. Love a shout out to anyone needing yarn I am going to my wholesalers this week and all month in January so be prepared to see some really nice yarn and my prices are still going to be low and bulk lots (4-10). Oh well I must get on to my endeavor to find my instructions!

Flying Hands!

I know I get it you said WHERE IS SHE? Well I am still here enjoying Winter in the Northwoods of Wiscsonsin and my hands are getting a big workout between selling, crocheting, and helping others with gifts for preemies and cancer hats. It is my first year doing the last one. Everything else is making gifts for the family and trying to get through a day without crying. We are all taking this first year without my Dad he was such a huge presence I don't like to think of the holidays without him and I can hardly even see the monitor now while writing this. Well off to other things and I hope to have my new "how far is on this project" with pictures up soon!

Have you ever started to do something online like check your ebay store and wind up trying to find a pattern for crochet lace gloves???? I do this on a daily basis (well it seems that way). I have decided to add my "Tips for a Frugal Yarn Manipulator" First off if you don't know what a yarn manipulator is or when I use the terms yarneez, yarnophile, and yarnoholic here is my definition:

Yarn Manipulator: Person who uses several tools and patterns to make things with yarn. Like crocheting, knitting, looming, machine knitting, tunisian, entrelec, crochet in the round, etc.

Yarneez: My fellow people who love the world of any yarn manipulation.

Yarnophile: I am a shameless YARNOPHILE! Just like a book enthusiast is a bibliophile. Not to be confused with a YARNOHOLIC. A yarnophile derives total bliss & one with nature when looking at, feeling, shopping for, & creating with yarn. An even GREATER spiritual happiness is attained when giving your creation to another as a gift

Yarnoholic: A yarnoholic is a person who loves yarn like the yarnophile but does not feel the spiritual connection and therefore 100% bliss is not attained.

For more information that I have compiled on my Crochet-Knit-FYI page WITH pics & awesome links and I am always adding more links that are free of ads, and many sites with lists of free patterns for a kind of one-stop-shop for my fellow yarneez!

Here is the tips I have already started listing:

I find almost ALL patterns can be found online for free. See my lists of patterns sites links. That isn't all....To really scrimp on ink & paper cut and paste patterns to Word or Open Office or other text program and format it to your favorite size/color/type of font. To make it even cheaper take those patterns and put them on your smartphone or PDA (Palm Pilot-iPad-Kindle etc).

Get ideas from catalogues like Mary Maxim, Annie's Attic, etc then see if you can find the patterns online. Sometimes it does take some patience but there are thousands of patterns for FREE. I also do buy clearance from online and normal craft stores (ie Micheal's).

Another way to get patterns is to go to Google Images and type in what you would like then click on the photo to see what webpage it came from and it just may be a pattern you love.

I almost never print out straight from the pattern page online unless they are in PDF but WITHOUT ads. Too many pictures, ads, blocking is all wrong SO I copy and paste into a word processor (either Word or Open Office) and copy and paste the image then make it nice and neat and usually make the font a bit bigger (much easier on my declining farsighted aging eyes at age 47!) or whatever size you want and whatever font you like to see.

More are coming as soon as I remember them! I have my days just as anyone else. I think I will try and make my blog more yarn & natural therapy based. I know it is an odd combo but just look at my eBay ME page to understand this. Till next time, Carrie

Ohhhh Boy this will be fun! My FIRST EVER BLOG! Well I promised to tell you what I am working on and so far it is some crocheted socks with Lion Brand Fancy Fur on the ankle - Crocheting a really cool wrap with Lion Brand Homespun yarn for my Mom2 (stepmom but she is so wonderful and everybody thinks stepmoms are bad so hence the name change). I had already made one for me and am making some gauntlets and a cool hat to complete the outfit. Paint by Number - I am working on Dimensions Garden Gate. I just got donw doing Dimensions Japanese Garden and WOW that one was hard! I am thinking of Christmas already because as everyone knows if you do needleworks you start around September. I will be having a sale on my yarn from Stacy Charles to Tahki - Juliet Skacel - to Fan Pel & Universal yarn brands. I am also kind of throwing the idea around to offer classes in crochet, tunisian, looms etc. What do you think? I am still working on my off eBay store of www.crazy-anything.com. I have my eBay store (www.crazyanything.com) doing okay but I know it will pick up during "yarn season" which is fall & early winter. Well people I am outta here and to bed before I fall asleep and my head hits the keyboard!
